The Knight

Four women are found dead in a caravan. Research shows that they have contracted CO poisoning. The women appear to be part of an Eastern European group of women who have to clean toilets along the roadside restaurants of the company Lunchline for a hunger wage. With the help of the sister of one of the murdered women, the public prosecutor tracks down the driver of the group of traffickers. There appears to be a whole tangle of businesses and intermediaries attached to human trafficking. In the end Lunchline will be taken to court and compensation will be paid to the victims.

Helena is going to work for the public prosecutor's office. There she investigates the death of a toddler after an unfortunate fall of a staircase. Helena is immediately noticeable when, on the basis of an anonymous tip, she stops the child's funeral and so scares the parents.

Helena De Ridder is a lawyer at Ravenakkers & Partners. When the well-known former footballer Paul Vandenbon is accused of pedophilia, Helena is put on the case. Helena throws herself into the matter, but the confrontation with the alleged victim brings her to doubt.

The endgame against OT&C has been started. While Helena has to answer for the Court of Appeal for assaulting and intimidating a victim, she and Thomas continue the fight against OT&C. The contours of a plot are slowly taking shape. One of the main players is Ravenakkers. But even though the net is slowly starting to close around him, he still has some strong assets behind him ...

Cara Heijne is the deadly victim of a hit and run. When they investigate the scene, the driver Jasper De Schryver suddenly turns up. He knows it was wrong to drive on, but he panicked. The police catch two Roma children breaking in and can arrest the girl. They let her go and follow her. When she goes to her mother, they arrest her and her son too. The children are too young to charge them. Because of language barriers and cultural differences, it's hard to get the parents take responsibilities for their children. There is a bomb alert in the harbor at the big and powerful firm OT&C. They see Rudi Kassel running away and arrest him. It turns out he wanted revenge on the firm, because he got cancer from working with illegal radio-active transports he took part off. He says the firm knew about it and was OK with. Helena wants to investigate OT&C on the illegal transports, but gets a lot of resistance.
