Akaike, who has been diagnosed with only a month left to live, refuses treatment and declares that he will not speak. Takino is distressed, unable to understand his true intentions. What answer will general practitioner Tokushige give him?

Although he spends a peaceful time with Akaike, Tokushige begins to feel a slight sense of discomfort due to Akaike's words and actions. Tokushige's past is revealed, as well as the encounter and bond between master and disciple. And the lie his master has been hiding.
