Raising Expectations

Paige and Wayne attend a Halloween party, and the kids decide to turn the family home into a haunted-house attraction, complete with a cadaver from the nearby teaching hospital.

Emmett's parents forbid him from playing video games, so he seeks out an old-school arcade. Meanwhile, Paige wants to enhance her hand-eye coordination; and Wayne divulges a revealing secret about his past.

Emmett breaks Bentley's cello during a mishap, so Emmett and Nate stage a robbery to pretend the instrument was stolen. Meanwhile, Conner and Adam get into a dispute over toiletries.

Emmett develops a crush on his math tutor, but she's captivated by Adam, not Emmett. Meanwhile, Bentley struggles to move his harp to the second floor; and Conner and Paige take up beekeeping.

Emmett is so desperate to get to a local hot-dog-eating contest that he resorts to tunneling through the basement wall. Meanwhile, Adam and Bentley unearth a secret stockpile of chocolate-covered raisins.

Mold is unearthed in Emmett's room, but it soon spreads to the other bedrooms, forcing the Wayney siblings to become temporary roommates.

Conner grows tired of her brothers interfering with her dating life, and Emmett's attempt to trade a date with her for a bike discount proves to be the last straw.

Wayne and Conner disagree about whether a tree in the front yard should be removed. Meanwhile, Adam and Bentley join forces to repair the air conditioner.

When the stench coming from Emmett's room is determined to be mold, the family calls a fumigator who claims he only needs to tent Emmett's room. As the mold spreads to other bedrooms, the siblings are inconvenienced when they have to bunk together.

Bentley's fancy group, known as The Sophisticates, has lost their library table to the rival Aficionados. To resolve this problem, they have a quip-off at the Wayney household.

Paige tries to get all five of her kids ready on a last minute trip to Paris to visit Wayne. Her sister Rebecca also stops by.

Derek becomes obsessed with Sorcery The Summoning cards after learning they could be a good investment. Meanwhile, Emmett's teacher steals Derek's most valuable card after Emmett brings it to school.

When Paige and Wayne go on a short weekend trip, Bentley has unknowingly set up an Airbnb at their house in order to get training for Hospitality school. He recruits his siblings to help.

Bently has to get a driver's license.
